Kendra struggles to fit in at a noisy party, much to the chagrin of her guardian angel, a sharp-beaked and sharp-witted harpy, who really wants her to stop staring at her shoes. Inspired by classic 80’s puppet films like The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth, What Are You Supposed to Do With Your Hands? explores the unique experience of living as a late-diagnosed autistic woman.

Larissa Thompson

  • Director
  • /Writer

In 2016, Larissa began working as a professional voice actor, eventually specializing in audiobook narration. She is also an associate producer and creative consultant for The Sojourn, an award-winning sci-fi audio drama, for which she wrote and directed two episodes. Her years of acting training have prepared her for directing actors, and working as a script supervisor for various feature films gave her valuable shadowing opportunities under experienced directors. It wasn’t until 2023 that she discovered she was autistic, and is excited to share her unique experience of the world with audiences through the medium of film.

Amanda D’Silva

  • Lead Producer

Originally from Perth, Western Australia, Amanda began working in the Vancouver film industry in 2016. Beyond that, Amanda spent time studying film & media production in Perth, while working on small projects which helped her gain exposure in the industry while continuing to learn. Amanda recently resigned from her 5-year tenure as Manager of Operations and Client Services at William F. Whites International Inc. (Camera Department), where she had the pleasure of being part of its evolution and building a department and team from the ground up, while establishing meaningful industry connections in Canada, and the USA. Now, Amanda has gone freelance to pursue producing full-time. Amanda's recent credits this year include a feature film, along with an associate producer credit on a web-series earlier in 2023. When Amanda isn't in the world of film (her first love), she is a part-time marathoner!
