| Bruna Arbex | | Bruna Arbex, director of “La Ceri-se”, award-winning short film at Vancouver Queer Film Festival, has directed multiple short media platform advertisements, short films and music videos. Bruna takes pride on creating stories with complex female characters; these narratives are heavily impacted by feminist principles. The story arcs challenge traditional gender roles using a visually impactful and surreal approach. |
| Heather Perluzzo | | Heather Perluzzo is a film director and screenwriter originally from Montreal, Quebec. Her desire to tell female-driven narratives and reimagine traumatic life experiences through genre brought her to Vancouver Film School in 2017. Since then, she has directed multiple short films, including “Girl in the Galactic Sun” which has received Best-Sci Fi Short from Women in Horror and an official selection at Whistler Film Festival & the Leo Awards and “Hatch” which was chosen as one of the Top 6 Crazy 8s films to be made in 2019. In December, Heather won the MPPIA Short Film Award for her film concept “Wildflower” that will be shot in Fall of 2020. Heather is an advocate for balanced gender representation on and off the screen and prides herself on reinventing her struggles as a woman into strange yet meaningful films. |
| Karina Villela | | Karina Villela, producer of “The Sweet of your Lips” award at Best Picture at Brasilia Festival of Brazilian Cinema, has produced more then eleven short films, and numerous music clips. Before moving to Canada, she has been working for the company Ligocki Entreterimento as an assistant production manager. In Vancouver she produced the short film “The World’s Longest Hotel” that is current in its festival run. |
| Andrea Widjajanto | | Andrea Widjajanto is an Indonesian writer, director, producer based in Vancouver, BC. Upon completing her Film Production diploma from Vancouver Film School last February she has worked on campus as a Cinematography TA and on multiple film productions such as directing and producing a couple of shorts, as well as 1st ADing indie features. Her latest award-winning short, “The Art of Flawsome” was recently screened at Whistler Film Festival. |
