Lori Watt

Lori is an award-winning actor, producer, writer, and director who lives and works on the unceded territory of the xwməθkwəy̓ əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), Tsleil-Waututh and Qayqayt First Nations. She has produced 12 shorts that have screened at several short film competitions, including the Leo award-nominated “Red Eye” which was shot with an all-female cast and crew and screened at the Cannes Court Metrage. Lori attended the Banff World Media Festival as part of the inaugural Diversity of Voices Initiative. In 2019 she produced “A Pregnant Woman”, which was selected as part of the Harold Greenberg/Creative BC Shorts program. This film is currently in the festival circuit. In the fall of 2020, she acted as UPM and producer on Mike Jackson’s independent film “Time Helmet”. This project is currently in post-production. Lori is also co-founder of Frolicking Divas Productions, a theatre company focused on female dominated works that has been on the Vancouver theatre scene since 2009.
