The Reveal is a comedy about 42-year-old, nonbinary Stevie, who struggles to support their sister’s gender reveal party while harbouring some news of their own: that they have started on testosterone, that they are transitioning.

Jackie Hoffart

Jackie Hoffart is a trans filmmaker and comedian who lives on the unceded territories of the Musqueum, Squamish and T sleil-Waututh peoples, aka Vancouver . Whether it’s in the production office, as a VFX assistant, or script supervisor, Jackie has been working in the local film industry since 2012, including on the pictures ‘The Age of Adaline’ , Spielberg’s ‘The BFG’ or ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ . A stand-up comedian for over 10 years, they created two seasons of a Storyhive-funded docu-series called “YVR Funny” featuring Vancouver comics performing standup and giving intimate interviews. Jackie has twice served as a judge for the JUNO Comedy Album of the Year category, in 2020 and 2023.

Jillian Beausoleil

Jillian Beausoleil is a Vancouver-based writer and producer with a rich background in film and television. Over the past decade, she has written and produced two acclaimed short films, Steve (2015) and Decomposing (2021, festival award-winning and aired on SuperChannel). Her experience spans clearance coordinating, production coordinating, and script supervising, as well as research, VFX, and post-production on series like Grizzly Rewild (CBC) and Coyote Science (APTN).

Andrea Feltrin

Andrea Feltrin is a filmmaker and comedian based in so-called Vancouver, BC who’s written, directed, and produced short films, micro documentaries, web series, comedy sketches and commercials. Her various short films have screened across the world wide web, with several receiving festival accolades and audience choice awards, including Girl Band (2017), A Sprinkle in Time (2017), and Retreat (2016). With a knack for performing and a weird addiction to making people laugh, Andrea has been involved with various improv troupes, theatre companies, and stand-up comedy shows. She enjoys creating thought-provoking content with humour and heart.
